Licenses
All dogs and cats over 6 months of age must be vaccinated for rabies, licensed, and wear the tag on their collar. See Municipal Code Title 8.04.
Licensing Fees
- Altered Dogs and Cats - $20
- Unaltered Dogs and Cats - $60
- Replacement Tag $1
- Lifetime License Free
Pet licenses are valid January through December.
- 60 day late fee - add 50% of the license fee
- 120 day late fee - add 100% of the license fee.
Senior citizens, 65 and over, may obtain a lifetime license for their altered pet for no charge.
Purchase pet licenses online
Licenses may be also be purchased through the mail, at the Police Department, or at local veterinary hospitals.
For your convenience, a license application may be completed and brought in or mailed together with your payment and a copy of current rabies vaccination / alteration.
